Partnerships
Better Together
At the YMCA we have the privilage of working with several community and statewide partners to increase our impact and outreach.
PARKVIEW HEALTH
The Parkview Warsaw YMCA is located next to Parkview Warsaw, a state-of-the-art, 86,000 square-foot medical facility scheduled to open in early 2016. The new medical facility will offer a full service ER, diagnostic imaging, outpatient lab and rehabilitation services and physician offices.
As part of our partnership, the Parkview Center for Healthy Living is located inside the YMCA and offers holistic health and well-being programs and information to help you be proactive about your health. Members can access free educational materials, take classes, attend events and receive health screenings.
Leaders from both the Parkview Warsaw YMCA and Parkview Health will continue to work in tandem to provide quality health and well-being programs to Warsaw community members.
AREA SCHOOLS
The Warsaw School Corporation has partnered with the YMCA in providing locations for our Before and After School care, space for our youth sports to practice and play, and in the Kosciusko County Promise program. We appreciate their support in developing youth. Whitko Schools and Tippecanoe Schools also partner with us for Before and After School care. Tippecanoe Schools and Wawasee Schools are also a part of the Kosciusko County Promise.
THE K21 HEALTH FOUNDATION AND CANCER CARE FUND
The K21 Health Foundation and Cancer Care Fund provide funding for our LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program.
AWS
Through a grant with AWS we have had the ability to serve those with disabilities in ways we could only imagine before. With their help we have been able to create a more inviting environment for anyone with a disability by increasing facility access and providing more equipment specific to those needing adaptation to their wellness routines. We have also been able to increase the availability of inclusive programs and specific programing for those with disabilities to approach well-being through both physical and social activities.
AREA CHURCHES
Through our Director of Christian Emphasis, the YMCA has been able to partner with area churches to increase spiritual impact in our programs and give churches an opportunity to reach out into the community. The Y has been able to partner with Christ’s Covenant Church, Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, Mission Point Community Church
Dutchtown Brethren Church, Grace Baptist Church
Warsaw Community Church, New Life Church, CrossRoads of Warsaw, First Baptist Church, First Christian Church of Warsaw, and Warsaw Church of God. A Volunteer Chaplaincy program has also been developed; if your church is interested in participating, please contact Matt Goebel at mgoebel@kcymca.org.
